Technical Editor (m/f)

As a Technical Editor you will be responsible for creating, managing and maintaining the technical documentation of our company’s products. You will focus on the following


  • Creating, managing and revising internal and external technical documentation on various media and in accordance with requirements from the editorial guidelines and normative standards (manual, installation and assembly instructions, service manuals, data sheets, training documents, supplier documentation)
  • Editing documentations within the scope of conformity assessment procedures (CE, FDA etc.)
  • Translations by yourself or by outsourcing to external service providers
  • Creating illustrations
  • Generating requirements-compliant machine markings (safety instructions and other prescribed markings) according to specifications from risk assessment and CI

 Your profile:

  • University or training degree, or relevant experience in the field of technical documentation/communication
  • Ideally experience in the fields of mechanical engineering, medical technology, software documentation, or regulatory compliance
  • Proficient use of common word processing programs as well as DTP and image processing programs (ideally Adobe Framemaker™, Adobe Photoshop™) and basic knowledge of graphics programs
  • Eloquence and the ability to communicate complex technical issues to target groups
  • Interest in new technical developments and a basic understanding of technology and business
  • Proficiency in spoken and written German, and ideally in another language (English, French, Chinese)
  • Experience in dealing with standards, guidelines and risk assessments
  • Independent, goal-oriented and organized working style
  • Willingness to assume responsibility and contribute your own ideas to your work
  • Distinct customer and team orientation
